Euronext rapeseed (ECO) trades in euros per tonne on the Paris futures market. Main expiries are February, May, August and November. It is Europe's benchmark oilseed contract, with a strong correlation to CBOT canola and US soybeans. The ECO price is driven by vegetable oil and European biodiesel demand, USDA global oilseed balances (rapeseed/canola, palm oil, soybeans), and crop conditions in France, Germany, Ukraine and Canada. Crude oil prices also influence ECO through biofuel demand.
Euronext rapeseed (ECO) is quoted in euros per tonne on the Paris futures market. Main expiries are February, May, August and November. The displayed price corresponds to the most active contract by open interest. Data is updated every trading day.
