What changes in this report

Our reading

The 9 October 2026 report raises world corn ending stocks by 8.34 Mt to 280.44 Mt. This is the largest revision of the month. Production gains 2.80 Mt to 1,293.75 Mt: the rise in the United States (+5.95 Mt) more than offsets declines in the European Union (-2.60 Mt) and the rest of the world (-0.55 Mt).

Rapeseed stocks fall 0.75 Mt to 11.60 Mt. Soybean stocks gain 0.26 Mt to 124.28 Mt. Wheat stocks fall 0.25 Mt to 276.04 Mt. Barley stocks gain 0.10 Mt to 23.47 Mt.

In the end, the wheat stock cushion remains stable, at 33.3% of use, and the corn cushion widens, at 21.2%.
